Dear colleagues
I am pleased to announce that Blake Shorthouse has been appointed as Head UHNWI EMEA, effective July 1. In this role Blake will be responsible for the UHNWI heads of all Market Areas within Private Banking EMEA and drive our efforts to leverage the enormous potential of the UHNWI segment across the Business Area. He will report to me and will be based in Zurich.
In his previous role Blake was Deputy Global Head Key Clients at UBS since 2007. He joined the Key Clients team UK at UBS in 1999 after six years at the Private Clients department at Merrill Lynch.
Blake's appointment underscores the importance of the UHNWI client segment to Credit Suisse and to our Business Area in particular. I believe our business is uniquely positioned to serve this critical group of sophisticated clients with a truly cross divisional platform. I am delighted that Blake has agreed to lead our efforts.
Please join me in welcoming Blake to Credit Suisse and in wishing him every success in his new role.
Best regards
Alois Bättig
