Switzerland's second-largest bank names new leaders for the country's French-speaking region.
Credit Suisse is naming Steve Fragnière as head of Switzerland's Romande region and Nicolas Vaccaro as head of private banking Suisse Romande, as it splits the roles previously covered by Christian Steinmann, the bank announced in an emailed statement Thursday.
Fragnière currently heads Swiss large corporates for the region and has been with the bank for more than 20 years, according to his LinkedIn profile, while Vacaro is the CEO of Credit Suisse Trust. The appointments are effective as from August 1, and October 1, respectively.
Steinmann is leaving Credit Suisse to join Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (BCV) to become head of private banking and a member of the executive board.
Regional Experience
«As the Head of Swiss large corporates in French-speaking Switzerland, Steve Fragnière is highly familiar with the Region Suisse Romande. He has 20 years of experience in client business at Credit Suisse and is ideally qualified to manage and further develop the region,» Credit Suisse Switzerland CEO André Helfenstein said.
Vaccaro has been at Credit Suisse since 2000 and «is perfectly equipped to service the sophisticated needs of private banking clients. He will successfully continue the very good work that Christian Steinmann has done in this area,» Roger Suter, who is the designated head of private banking for Switzerland at Credit Suisse, added.
