The Zurich-based pure play private bank also sees itself as an intermediary for the arts and intends to support various events at the upcoming Zurich Art Weekend.
Julius Baer announced a three-year partnership with the Zurich Art Weekend, starting this year. The bank, however, recognizes that the event held between June 7 and June 9, just before the opening of Art Basel, is going to be a full-time, year-round engagement.
According to the organizers, the event itself is becoming a place that transforms the city of Zurich into a discovery and networking platform for the domestic and international art scene.
Meetings and Walks

The curated program has more than 80 exhibits and 100 events in over 65 locations, offering a unique opportunity for art devotees to meet contemporary artists and industry exponents. This will all be happening under the umbrella of artist exchanges, curated tours, art walks, performances, urban interventions, discussions, cocktails, and impromptu get-togethers throughout the city.
Besides the main event in June, the organizers also offer access to curated events with art industry devotees as well as tailor-made, exclusive visits to artist studios, galleries, institutions, and private collections for regular, new, and potential clients.
Creating Value

Julius Baer has, by their own account, a longstanding tradition of supporting the arts in Switzerland, with a collection of contemporary art (image above) that currently numbers more than 5,000 works.
Its partnership with Zurich Art Weekend is intended to underline its patronage of the world of arts, something that also ties in with one of its main objectives. Creating value that goes above and beyond the pure financial.
